PAYMENTS / NETWORK FOUNDATIONS

The XDC Network

The network, token standards and operational resources behind XDC-based payment applications.

On this page

XDC is an EVM-compatible Layer 1. Its public network and separate enterprise subnet environments support different application and data-visibility requirements.

This page carries forward a legacy Impel network overview. Use current documentation for node requirements, fees, rewards and implementation readiness; historic provider claims are not current guarantees.

Token and application building blocks

XRC-20

Fungible tokens.

XRC-721

Unique digital assets and NFTs.

XRC-1155

Multi-token and semi-fungible designs.

Develop with current specifications

The current architecture documentation describes Solidity, Vyper and familiar Ethereum tools, including Hardhat, Foundry, Remix, Web3.js and Ethers.js.

It documents XDPoS 2.0, an approximate two-second block interval, chain ID 50 for mainnet and 51 for Apothem. A block interval is not the same measure as application-level payment completion.

Private subnet access and public-mainnet transparency are different models. Define which records stay private and which proofs or checkpoints are published.

Security and investigation resources

4 entries

QLUE

Blockchain investigation tooling referenced in the original overview.

Understand node operation

Validators propose and validate blocks; standby infrastructure participates according to protocol rules. Current eligibility and rewards must be checked in the official operator documentation.

The original overview includes historic node counts and annual reward figures. These remain available in the source and are not advertised here as current returns.

People and origins

The original overview introduces XinFin co-founders Atul Khekade and Ritesh Kakkad, and describes Troy S. Wood’s role at Impel.
